Wouter Kallemeijn

I worked with Wouter at the Crick Institute in London as part of the Tate group. Prior to his move to the Crick I was quite intrigued by the myth of Wouter, as it seemed whenever anyone had a problem the answer was "Ask Wouter, he'll sort it". It didn't take long to realise that they were right and he definitely helped me become a better scientist. He was always so warm and approached things with a smile. As well as being a fantastic scientist he was a good friend and I have fond memories of us chatting over lunch each day sharing stories. Since I left the Crick, anything with a label still makes me smile and think of him and the WWK labels he put on all his things, even pens! I wish I had made the effort to pop to London to see him more often. Whenever I travel into London and walk past the Crick I will remember him and the fun times we shared.
